Midterm evaluation of the COMET project PSSP

The midterm-evaluation of the COMET project PSSP (Photonic Sensing for Smarter Processes) took place last week.
Within a virtual "site visit" the project work and the current results of the project were presented by the project managers and key researchers.

The participants of the funding agencies and the external experts could also take a look inside the research labs during a virtual lab tour. The planned activities for the second half of the project as well as the further plans for achieving the project goals were also discussed.

In the interim evaluation - which consists of a written report and a "site visit" - the project work was rated "excellent" by the external reviewer Michael B. Wakin from the Colorado School of Mines, as well as the representatives of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the federal states of Upper Austria and Styria. The plans for the rest of the project were thus confirmed. Only a few recommendations were expressed in order to improve the project work and to further intensify research cooperation.

We want to thank all partners and the project staff for the great cooperation and the excellent project work!
