Stefan Grünberger received the Best Student Oral Presentation Award for his contribution entitled "Combination of Laser Ablation and Spark Discharge in LA-SD-OES and comparison with LIBS” that he presented at the 11th Euro-Mediterranean Symposium on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy EMSLIBS 2021 (29 Nov to 2 Dec 2021) in Gijon, Spain.

Let us take you on a short video tour through the research project PSSP - Photonic Sensing for Smarter Processes.
Hear and see which new technologies we have developed to optimize industrial production processes with photonic methods.

Today we were very happy to host the first PSSP-workshop on the topic VWC – the "Virtual Wave Concept". It was jointly organized by the FH OÖ (Campus Wels - Josef Ressel Center for Thermographic Non-Destructive Testing of Composite Materials, Dr. Günther Mayr) and RECENDT (Dr. Peter Burgholzer).

The midterm-evaluation of the COMET project PSSP (Photonic Sensing for Smarter Processes) took place last week.
Within a virtual "site visit" the project work and the current results of the project were presented by the project managers and key researchers.

Der Posterbeitrag von Nikolaos Giannakaris vom Institut für Angewandte Physik der JKU wurde bei der 11th International Conference on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS2020) ausgezeichnet. Für seinen Beitrag "Chemical imaging and analysis by Femtosecond LIBS with micrometer spatial resolution" erhielt er den Best Poster Presentation Award.
