Today we were very happy to host the first PSSP-workshop on the topic VWC – the "Virtual Wave Concept". It was jointly organized by the FH OÖ (Campus Wels - Josef Ressel Center for Thermographic Non-Destructive Testing of Composite Materials, Dr. Günther Mayr) and RECENDT (Dr. Peter Burgholzer).
The midterm-evaluation of the COMET project PSSP (Photonic Sensing for Smarter Processes) took place last week. Within a virtual "site visit" the project work and the current results of the project were presented by the project managers and key researchers.
Am Montag, 14.09. fand ein PSSP-Talk zum Thema "From metal-AM process control to automatic industrial design" statt. Dr. Carlos Cernuda, ein ehemaliger Mitarbeiter aus dem PAC-Netzwerk, konnte zu diesem Thema für einen Vortrag gewonnen werden. Er präsentierte dabei seine Forschungsarbeit an der Mondragon University in Spanien.

The strategic objectives of COMET are: developing new expertise by initiating and supporting long-term research co-operations between science and industry in toplevel research, and establishing and securing the technological leadership of companies. By advancing and bundling existing strengths and by integrating international research expertise Austria is to be strengthened as a research location for the long term.
